			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Do diets always consist of boring and bland food?  NO!</p>
<p>There is no way I could stick with a diet if I couldn&#8217;t still eat foods that taste good and eat a variety of foods.  Especially in the beginning, I have stuck to 45% protein, 35% carbs, and 20% fats in each meal.  My daily total of calories started at 2300 and has slowly dropped to around 1800-1900 calories per day.</p>
<p>I do eat a lot of boring and bland foods, because they are quick and easy to make, but I usually have one &#8220;good&#8221; meal each day which takes a little more time and preparation.  Below, is a photo gallery of some of the &#8220;good&#8221; meals I have made.  Each one sticks pretty close to the nutritional breakdown of 45/35/20.  Some of these meals I portion out and save some for later.</p>
<p>I try and use any kind of sauce or dressing in moderation&#8230; something that is new to me.  <a href="www.wildthymes.com" target="_blank">Wild Thymes</a> and<a href="http://www.san-j.com/faq.asp#2" target="_blank"> San J</a> have a wide variety of sauces that help keep my meals interesting.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t have any photos of my breakfasts, because those are usually the boring ones.  I usually have 2 whole eggs, 4 egg whites, a red potato(or brown rice), and some vegetables(onions and green peppers).</p>
<p>You will even see some fried chicken!  Believe it or not, with the chicken, corn meal, eggs, and olive oil, the nutritional facts are pretty much perfect.  I may be a little over on the oil sometime, but I am usually lacking in my fats each day.</p>
<p>No, I didn&#8217;t drink the Redbridge beer&#8230; that was only put there for the effect.</p>
<p>Diets don&#8217;t always consist of boring foods!</p>

I know I&#8217;m not supposed weigh myself every day, but I do it anyway before getting in the shower.  A lot of things play into this: salt/water intake, cheat meals, and ya know&#8230; going #2.</p>
<p><strong>2 Quick Points:</strong></p>
<p>Start you diet after your temptation days!  I started my diet on a Friday(just because Jan 1st fell on a Monday).  Never again!  After I weigh in on a Friday morning and see that I have lost weight, I subconsciously think that I can cheat over the weekend, since I have seven more days to make up for it.  For example, I weighed in last Friday at 201.  On Tuesday, I was 206!  Now, the whole week, I am fighting just to get back to 201 and then praying that I am slightly lower by Friday morning.  I hate this and am sick and tired of it.  No more!  <strong>I am now treating every day like I day I have to weigh in. </strong></p>
<p>Treat every day as if you are getting on the scale that next morning!  No cheat meals, no big portions, no more &#8220;it will be OK by Friday.&#8221;  I realize weight will fluctuate a little every day, but I&#8217;m not allowing it to do so more than a pound or two.  Cardio every day!  I used to take the weekend off of cardio and pack it into the end of the week.  Real weight loss doesn&#8217;t work like that!  <strong>Every day!  Every day!  Every day!</strong></p>

<p>I was really worried about this week, since I went back home to my parents house Friday to Monday.  I saw a lot of old friends, and most of those meetings revolved around food and alcohol.  I didn&#8217;t drink much at all, but I can&#8217;t say the same about eat.  It seems we always go to my favorite places when back home.  The type of food and especially potions are not diet food material.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m happy with losing 2lbs per week at this stage in the diet.  Next week I HAVE to lose at least 2 more, which puts me under 200lbs!!!  I haven&#8217;t been under 200lbs since I started college.</p>
