Michelob Ultra Light Cider – Gluten Free

Anheuser-Busch launches a new GLUTEN FREE cider!

I’m excited to try this!  I like Woodchuck, but it is just too sweet to drink more than a couple.  I wonder how the light will taste…

I’ll see if I can get ahold of some ASAP.

    Hey Mike
Have you tried the new cider from Sam Adams, Angry Orchard, it’s good and not as sweet as Woodchuck. The rep for this beer said a few people that are gluten free have told her beers made in Mexico like Corona and Tecate don’t have gluten it them, or if it does it’s such a small amount have you heard this?

Megan, one of the issues when people start talking about beers being ‘gluten free’ that were made from gluten grains is that the brewing process breaks down the gluten so that the tests do not show a positive test but the smaller chains of amino acids the gluten protein is broken down to will still cause the same reactions (at least according to a bio chemist friend of mine that studied a lot of disease and allergy stuff)

Hopefully this will be a good product, but we shall see.

I tried it for the first time Sunday. It did not hurt my stomach at all. It also taste good and is low calorie and low carb. I have tried some of the beers that are supposed to be safe and those hurt my stomach. It us just hard to find right now. Only one store in my town carries it.
