St. Louis Microfest: May 1 & 2

I was just told about the St. Louis Microfest.  It looks like a big beer tasting party in Forrest Park!  The best part… Gluten Free Beer!!!  A handful of breweries will be represented that brew gluten free beer, including: Redbridge, Bard’s Tale, New Grist, Woodchuck, St. Peter’s, and a few other gluten free choices.

Here is an email excerpt from an organizer:

It looks like most of the gluten-free offerings are Session II, though I think there will be some during Session III. What I know we have that’s gluten-free: Bard’s Tale, New Grist, Cider Jack Hard Cider Woodchuck ciders– all on Saturday afternoon. We also have  J.K. Scrumpy Organic Cider and Redstone Meadery’s Black Raspberry Nectar — which I assume are also gluten-free. All ciders and meads are gluten free, aren’t they?

We also have Hambleton Toleration Ale and St. Peter’s Gluten-free, both of which are European beers, but I don’t know if they’ll be offered on Friday or Saturday evenings; I’m trying to find out from the distributor.

I think the best bet for gluten-free choices is going to be Saturday afternoon. Hope this helps.

2009 Sessions
Session I: Friday Night 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Session II: Saturday Afternoon Noon – 5:00pm
Session III: Saturday Night 6:00pm – 9:00pm
*Tickets are only valid for the session issued. If purchasing tickets for Saturday afternoon (Session II), you will need to purchase an additional ticket to attend the evening session (Session III) and vice versa.

    Hi

The JK’s Scrumpy is defiantly gluten free. Just organic apples that we grow and yeast.

    Cheers
