As you have probably heard by now, Betty Crocker released gluten free dessert mixes! You can now make your own brownies, cookies, and cakes with mixes from a very respected company.
I have a few of these boxes in my kitchen that I have yet to bake. I’m not much of a baker or dessert eater, so I have yet to attempt these. I’ll post a review once I try them… the chocolate chip cookies are now looking pretty tempting.

1. I don’t like coffee! I don’t like the smell, the taste, or the prices… I’d rather buy a top-shelf gin & tonic for those prices!
2. They took away free wifi! …at least I think they did. I haven’t tried recently.
3. They got rid of their gluten free Valencia Orange Cake!!! WTF!

Being diagnosed with a disease is never a good thing. BUT, being diagnosed with a curable disease is not something to be depressed about. With celiac disease, you can cure yourself by eating a gluten free diet. Not only be happy because it is curable without medication, but you are changing your overall life for the better!
I frequently see, and used to do it myself, a bad attitude towards having to eat gluten free, especially from those newly diagnosed. There are two ways to tell people about being gluten free.

Today I had the opportunity to interview Daniel, the manager of the Overland Park, KS Godfather’s Pizza location, and try one of their gluten free pizzas. The pizza was great, and Daniel was very knowledgeable on gluten free food preparation. I feel very safe eating at Godfather’s after seeing first-hand the steps they take to ensure there is no gluten or cross-contamination.
